The Rain Harvest Project is Complete

Post Topics: News

As of February 11, I am proud to say that the team and I completed the Rain Harvest Project here at MCF. We had to endure some gruelling heat (it was over 30°C most days in Kenya), but with some hard work and students who were willing to learn, we were able to teach the Kenyans how to install gutters. On our last day of installing, we had just put all the equipment away and it rained. If that's not great timing, then I don't know what is. I am very confident in the abilities of the young men that we have trained to continue to install trough long after the team leaves.

During the project, I was told that MCF is the only place in all of Kenya that has seamless eavestroughs and a gutter machine. That said, I cannot thank our donors enough for their generosity in making this happen. Without your backing, this project would not have been the success that it was.

This has been a fantastic experience and I can't wait to share my stories with everyone upon my return to Canada.
