PLASBOARD ® is the trade name for Canadian Plastic Lumber's "Alternative to Wood" product manufactured from 100% recycled post consumer plastics.
The lumber produced by our unique injection moulding process is CPL's core product. Plasboard ® is produced in a wide variety of dimensions, shapes and finished boards lengths from 8 to 12 feet long. Most popular traditional lumber sizes such as 2 x 4's and 1 x 6's are readily available in stock. CPL manufactures a variety of standard colours eliminating the need to paint, stain or seal for the life of the product. PLASBOARD ® provides an environmentally smart "Alternative to Wood" where exposure to the elements results in the costly breakdown and deterioration of traditional forest products. PLASBOARD ® can be used for a wide range of applications requiring high quality and extreme durability over a long life. |

100% Recycled and Recyclable - Will substantially outlast typically used wood and maybe recycled again and again. Resistant to the Elements - Won't check, spit or rot. - Is inherently UV resistant; colour is permanently blended throughout the boards. - Is completely resistant to infestation by borers. Workability Like Wood - Can be sawed, drilled, nailed and routed. - Is splinter free. - Has a high compressive strength with superior nail holding qualities. Non-Toxic - Is made from a blend of the most common plastics except PVC (#3). - Will not leak; contains no preservative. Versatile - Can be produced in specific custom dimensions eliminating costly machining associated with wood products for proprietary processes and products. Economical - Has a durable long life reducing the need to replace under normal use effectively making it less costly to use. |
